Cyber crime is the fastest-growing crime in the US and last year it was growing faster in Ireland than anywhere else.
43% of UK businesses experienced a cybersecurity breach or attack last year and it is thought to be more than 50% in Ireland. The average cost of cybercrime rose by over $1m last year to reach $13m per firm according to Accenture.

Whilst organisations are spending more budget on securing their IT, there is still the human element which cannot be ignored. The ICO UKs Q2 2018/19 figures show that out of 675 cyber incidents reported, 367 were phishing attacks - that’s 54%.
