Zinopy Places Trust in Sungard Availability Services to Achieve Significant Growth

Leading IT Service Provider Announces Intention to Double Irish Presence Over the Next Two Years, Creating 50 More Jobs for the Region

Dublin, 31st January 2017: Sungard Availability Services ®  (Sungard AS), a leading provider of information availability through managed IT, cloud and recovery services, today announces that it has played a central role in enabling the rapid growth of Zinopy, one of Ireland’s leading IT services and solutions providers.

Supporting numerous clients across the financial services, utilities and public sector industries – including Ryanair, the National College of Ireland, and KBC Bank Ireland – high availability is critical to Zinopy’s success. And thanks to its partnership with Sungard AS, Zinopy has seen a significant increase in uptake of its IT security and workspace virtualisation services, growing its revenue by 30 per cent in the past 12 months and increasing its customer base. With Zinopy’s plans to double the size of the organisation over the next two years, Sungard AS represents a critical component in Zinopy’s growth strategy.

A customer since 2012, Zinopy now relies on Sungard AS’ enterprise-grade colocation services to ensure the security and safety of its mission-critical customers. Aiming to help both enterprise and small to medium-sized businesses address issues of IT security and workspace virtualisation, Zinopy’s inSIght Security Intelligence and inSIght Systems Intelligence managed services offer customers enhanced security and performance.

John Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of Zinopy commented:

“Working with Sungard Availability Services has been critical not only in underpinning our IT infrastructure, but also our growth strategy. Using Sungard AS’ data centre enables us to keep our current and prospective customers fully assured that their most valuable information is in safe hands and helps them to achieve compliance with the latest data protections regulations within the EU and beyond.

“Having this confidence has allowed us to create a plan for growth that will see Zinopy double in size, creating over 50 jobs for the region.”

Pearse Tolan, Zinopy’s Service Delivery Manager also added:

“Maintaining constant availability and a high performance is a crucial part of our business model as Zinopy provides services to our customers day and night. Any outage, no matter how short-lived could have serious consequences for our business, and it is for this reason that our relationship with Sungard AS is so central to our continued success.”

Keith Tilley, EVP & Vice-Chair at Sungard Availability Services commented:

“Modern data centre capabilities, able to support hybrid IT, are now essential. But beyond this, they must also have inbuilt resilience to maintain robust security and constant availability of services to meet the demands of the business. End users – whether internal or external to the business – will settle for nothing less. In fact, our recent research found that IT decision makers felt that digital success equated to both increased customer satisfaction and revenue growth. But with the IT landscape becoming more complex, and legacy IT potentially holding back innovation, the road to digital transformation isn’t straightforward. Without a datacentre strategy that can support both old and new IT functions, organisations will fail to meet their digital ambitions.”

Carmel Owens, General Manager of Sungard AS Ireland, noted:

“Zinopy is yet another example of Ireland’s thriving technology industry. The success of these modern, digitally-focused organisations rests on their ability to remain available to customers, free from disruptions. By taking over the worries of infrastructure, Sungard AS allows these organisations to focus on their core differentiators and deliver the highest quality of services to their customers.”
